Stagger

A stagger screen quick hitter designed to free 3 for a layup, with built-in reversal options for flexibility.

Breakdown

1 dribbles to the left wing as 2 clears out to vacate the area.
4 and 5 set a staggered double screen along the lane.
3 uses the stagger screen to cut hard through the lane.
1 looks to hit 3 for the layup.
Play can also be reversed to the opposite side.

Coaching Tip

3 should jab to the right before cutting to draw their defender into the screen. This makes the stagger much more effective and creates an easier scoring lane.
