Double High Screens

Double high screen play that opens a driving lane or sets up a roller for an easy basket.

Breakdown

  • 4 and 5 set a double screen at the top for 1.
  • 1 uses one of the screens to initiate a dribble drive.
  • The opposite screener rolls to the hoop.
  • 1 either attacks the rim for a finish or dishes to the rolling big for an easy score.

Coaching Tip

The key is spacing and timing — 1 must read the defense quickly to decide whether to finish or feed the rolling screener.
