Double Back

Breakdown

  • 4 and 5 flash high to start the play.
  • 1 enters the ball to whichever is open.
  • As the entry pass happens, 2 and 3 cut high on the wings.
  • The passer pivots and looks for 2 or 3, who quickly backcut their defenders for layups.

Coaching Tip

This is a timing play — all 5 players must move with no hesitation. 2 and 3 should cut high before backcutting hard to create the best angle.
