Bulls Quick Hitter

Bulls Quick Hitter uses misdirection and a disguised double screen to free up a cutter for a wide-open layup.

Breakdown

  • Quick hitter designed to get an open layup before the defense reacts.
  • 2 sets a downscreen for 4, who receives the pass on the wing.
  • After screening, 2 cuts across the lane, appearing to run through a weak-side double screen.
  • Instead of continuing, 2 makes a hard back cut under the hoop.
  • 4 delivers the entry pass immediately for the open layup.

Coaching Tip

3 and 5 should sell the double screen by calling it out loud so the defense fully expects 2 to run through.
