Breakdown

  • A quick hitter designed to catch the defense off guard for an easy lob.
  • 4 curls around 5, setting a backside screen.
  • 5 immediately rolls hard to the basket off that screen.
  • Timing is everything: 1 must deliver the lob right as 5 makes their move for an easy finish.

Coaching Tip

Drill the timing between 1 and 5 repeatedly. The lob only works if the pass is on time and the screener sells their curl.
