A fun Mini Hoopers game that builds agility, coordination, and spatial awareness as players chase, dodge, and switch roles inside a small space.
Pair players up and give each pair a small space inside the court. One player is the tagger and the other is trying to stay free while staying inside the boundary. Keep rounds very short to maintain focus and energy. If players crowd each other, shrink the space just like you would in Hungry Hungry Hippos. Add simple story prompts, such as “freeze when tagged,” to keep things playful the way you do in Construction Site. Rotate roles and partners quickly to match the pace and excitement found in Rock Paper Scissors (Attack).
Buddy Tag helps Mini Hoopers develop agility, body control, and spatial awareness through simple, playful chasing movements. The constant changes of direction and quick reactions build early coordination while keeping the activity fun and low pressure. The Buddy Tag concept connects to the same movement exploration found in the 3-on-2 basketball keep away drill.
